I was born in Bergamo, Italy, in 1964. I have a degree in computer science from the University of Milan, and I have always worked in the computer technology business, as teacher, translator to Italian, and software developer. I used to develop engineering and financial software. Since 2001, I developed mainly CAD/CAM software. I developed mainly for MSDOS and for Microsoft Windows, but a bit also for Unix.
I am the author of the wikibook “Optimizing C++” ( http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Optimizing_C%2B%2B )
In this blog I tell my opinions and ideas about software development. I used several programming languages and studied even more. The languages I used most, and therefore I know better, are C++ and Visual Basic 3 to 6. Now I use also C# and VB.NET, but I am not really an expert with them.
